Approach to Compliance and Promotion System

The Ricoh Leasing Group regards thorough compliance as a fundamental management principle in realizing its management philosophy. All directors and employees strictly comply with all laws and regulations, and conduct corporate activities in a sincere and fair manner in accordance with the common principles of society and corporate ethics.
In concrete terms, we believe that responding appropriately to the demands and expectations of society is compliance. Based on the Ricoh Lease Group Code of Conduct, we have established a compliance system that includes the establishment of regulations, the creation of manuals for procedures, the internal reporting system, and the enhancement of education for employees. In addition to the leadership of Director and Executive Officer management, compliance officers (directors in charge of compliance promotion divisions) have been appointed to ensure thorough compliance throughout the company, and departments in charge of promotion have been established to educate and raise awareness.
In order to verify the effectiveness of compliance, it is discussed at the Management Committee and reported to Director Committee. In fiscal 2022, there were no serious compliance violations to be announced. In the future, we will continue to enhance our activities to promote thorough compliance and strive for even greater compliance by strengthening our system.

Thorough and Reinforce Compliance

The purpose and contents of the Code of Conduct are specifically defined as internal rules and operational rules. To ensure compliance in all business activities, we conduct e-learning for all Group employees every year, including topics that are consistent with the enforcement and revision of laws and regulations. In addition, as part of our educational activities using the intranet, we raise awareness by sending out compliance news every month, and send out manuals summarizing our approach to responding to complaints and basic actions so that we can make appropriate decisions and respond to customer comments.

Whistleblower system

In addition to violations of laws and internal rules, we have established internal reporting and consultation desks for all employees (executives, employees, contract employees, and temporary employees) to report and consult on violations of the Ricoh Lease Group Code of Conduct, including bribery and harassment, and violations of human rights. These desks are communicated to employees both inside and outside the company.
In addition to protecting the confidentiality of whistleblowers and the contents of whistleblowers' reports, the Company's internal regulations also prohibit the disadvantageous treatment of whistleblowers and retaliatory measures, thereby protecting whistleblowers in accordance with the Whistleblower Protection Act.In FY2022, there were no reports related to fraud.
